The Eastern Shore of Virginia is located north of the Hampton Roads area of Va. with access by way of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel . A toll is required to travel this section of US 13 highway. Traveling from the north on US 13 south at the Maryland / Va. line. This area is along the Chesapeake Bay to the west and the Atlantic Ocean on the East . Rich with water activity and it’s bounty of fish , shellfish , and migratory bird travel it makes a great vacation spot. Several campgrounds , hotels , bed and breakfast and vacation rentals can be found from Chincoteague Island to Kiptopeake.
The local AACA Region was started in 1976 and has gone through many members along the way. One noted member who just received his 50 year pin from the AACA Mr. Herman Chesser has had a lifelong passion for cars and trucks. The area has hosted shows here on the Eastern Shore and is still active in many ways today .
